Privacy policy

How we handle your personal data

We collect as little personal data as possible. This website has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it loads no content from other websites.

Who is responsible

The website is run by ACCELERAS KG, Rauhensteingasse 7/18, 1010 Vienna, Austria, on behalf of the X-VET consortium. Email: info@thexvetproject.eu. The project is coordinated by Werkstatt-Berufskolleg Unna, Nordring 39, 59423 Unna, Germany.

What we collect, why, and on what legal basis

• Newsletter and MOOC notifications: your email address and the date of your sign-up, to send you X-VET news or to tell you when the MOOC opens. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Contact form: your name, email address and message, plus — if you give them — your organisation, country, topic and an attached file, to answer your request. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Technical data: when you visit the website, our hosting provider’s servers process your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type in server log files, to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Spam protection: to limit the number of form submissions, we store a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your IP address for up to two hours.

How long we keep it

Newsletter and MOOC sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, and no longer than five years after the project ends. Contact messages: only as long as needed to handle your request and to document the project. Server log files are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period.

Who we share it with

Messages and sign-ups are stored on our web server and sent to the X-VET mailbox. Where needed to answer your request, we share them with the X-VET partner organisations. Our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd., processes the data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restrict or object to its use, ask for a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future. Write to info@thexvetproject.eu. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in Austria, the Datenschutzbehörde (dsb.gv.at ↗).

Accessibility

Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website. It aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA: it can be used with a keyboard and screen readers, works on small screens, uses sufficient colour contrast, and describes images with text alternatives.

Known limitations

• The website is currently available in English only. Versions in the partner languages are planned.
• The screenshots from the online meeting contain small text that is not available separately; the news article describes their content.
• Documents published later (for example the Workbook in PDF) will be checked for accessibility before publication.
