Design of the X-VET MOOC is under way

Led by HOTEL SCHOOL in Riga, the partners are turning the course concept into modules for three learning tracks.

With the Integrated Sustainability Workbook in its final editing stage, the X-VET partnership has moved on to the project’s largest result: the X-VET MOOC. The work package is led by HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College in Riga, Latvia.

Over September and October 2026 the partners reviewed the course concept and the map of modules, worked on a shared design template for the modules, and received instructions for developing the content. Every partner authors one or two modules in its field of expertise.

Three tracks, eleven modules

The MOOC has three learning tracks — for VET leaders and administrators, for educators and trainers, and for VET learners. Three core modules are shared by everyone, each track adds two specialised modules, and two final modules connect everything to the X-VET framework and to experiential entrepreneurship.

Content development, translation and the technical set-up of the learning platform follow in 2027, before pilot testing with VET leaders, educators and learners in the partner countries.
